| Wheatgrass
is very beneficial for you pets and has been used with great
success on dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, reptiles and other small
animals. Pets are instinctively drawn to grass when feeling ill or hungry. Save money on Vet bills and improve the health and longevity of your favorite furry or feathered friend. You can add finely chopped wheatgrass to pet food or let them lap it up in a small dish or add to their drinking water. Pets really do love the taste! All of the wonderful benefits of wheatgrass are also available for your pets including the abundance of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, protein and chlorophyll which is found in wheatgrass. 
You can feed them either the juice, perhaps mixed in with their food, or the grass itself which is an excellent source of fibre. Many pets, especially dogs and cats don’t receive sufficient fibre due to the high proportion of canned or dried foods in their diets. Wheatgrass can also be a great source of “live food” which many of our pets miss out on. Much of the dried or canned food that is fed to our cats and dogs has been heavily processed and is deficient in enzymes which is found only in live foods such as wheatgrass. Enzymes are important for helping with the digestion and metabolisation of nutrients as well as performing many other functions.
