Sprout's Wheatgrass Growing Kits are Certified Organic!

After supplying many juice bars, cafes and organic shops with certified organic wheatgrass, our wish was to continue our high standards of quality and to keep the NASAA certified organic logo associated with ours.

Our wheatgrass growing kits are certified organic with NASAA (Licence Number: 3614M). This means that all the products within the kit comply with the organic standards set by NASAA (National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia).

To give you an example: our kits contain

  • Wheat Grain (certified organic)
  • Seaweed based liquid fertiliser (certified organic input)
  • Paper Tray Liners (bleach free)
  • Seedling trays (food grade plastic, not carbon based)

As you can see, we have focused on every item in order to keep the ingredients as organic as possible. Most sprouting seeds that we stock are also certified organic (where supply allows)

There are so many producers of organic products and growers of fruit, vegetables and of course wheatgrass that advertise that their growing methods are organic, but unfortunately there are some who use this only as a sales pitch and in fact are not legally certified.

For this reason, we have embarked on the involved process of making our kits fully certified organic to ensure that customers can be confident that we are abiding to nationally set organic standards.

At Sprout, we are constantly working on improving the quality of our products.

How do I know it is truly organic?

Look for the label. It should say that the produce you are buying is 'Certified” Organic or 'Certified' Biodynamic by one of the independent certifying bodies that now exist worldwide.

Sprout Organic Wheatgrass has chosen to go through NASAA (National Association of Sustainable Agriculture in Australia) to become certified organic (Licence number: 3614) as they are one of the leading organisations in Australia with an excellent reputation, having high values and standards in the organic industry.

NASAA regularly inspects growers and producers to ensure their standards are met, and they in turn are monitored by AQIS (Australian Quarantine Inspection Services).

Certification with NASAA provides clients with a transparent, efficient and professional certification service, giving the consumer a certification label with integrity.
